Last questions on "Lord of the flies" w. 16 p. 141-180

Here comes the last questions on Lord of the flies. After the Easter break we will watch the movie.

1) Jack and his tribe are quite cruel as hunters. On page 153 it says: "the pig´s efforts to avoid the spear was so funny that the boys cried out with laughter". Are you surprised at this or is it something that we humans have deep inside or develop in a certain situation?

2) Explain the title of the book "Lord of the flies". Page 155 might give you some help.

3) What changes have you noticed among the kids on the island? Who have changed and who are still the same?

Questions on Lord of the flies w.14 p.1-40

Now you have all started reading the book and I hope you enjoy it so far. Here comes a couple of things I want you to think about:

1) Make a short description of Piggy. What does he look like? What kind of person is he?

2) How is Piggy treated by the others and why is it so? Do you think that Ralph is a good friend? Does he have a responsibility against Piggy since they were friends first?

3) What rules do they develop and what are the rules good for? And by the way, who actually decides the rules?
